Operation Christmas Child began in 1993 with 28,000 shoeboxes sent. Every year since, Samaritan’s Purse has collected shoebox gifts filled with toys, school supplies, & hygiene items for children around the world. Since 1993, more than 232 million children in more than 170 countries & territories have received a shoebox. The project delivers not only the joy of what, for many kids, is their first gift ever, but also gives them a tangible expression of God’s love.
We have shoeboxes available in the hall next to the children's department. Please fill a box (or boxes) and return them by November 9.
