FBC Brownwood: Express our Faith, Experience Belonging, Embrace our Call.

From the Pastor

Dear church family,

I wanted to let you know of a couple of opportunities in the community this next week.  A Breath of Praise Church here in Brownwood is hosting a citywide revival May 4-8 at 6pm nightly at the Riverside Park Pavilion.  Pastor Eric Jordan will bring the messages while Sheree and Stephen Kline will lead the worship.

Thursday, May 7 is national day of prayer, and a prayer gathering is planned for noon at the Pat Coursey Park in downtown Brownwood.  You are invited to join in praying for our community, state and nation as well as our schools, military, justice system, first responders, and churches.

During the month of April, we celebrated the risen Savior at Easter and the church’s 150th Anniversary just a week and a half ago.  We have been reminded of the saving grace of God, the rich legacy of the church, and the many who have gone before us who have faithfully lived and proclaimed the gospel.

Last Sunday, we began to look forward as we examined 2 Chronicles 29 and considered the place God’s house will have in OUR lives.  If you were unable to join us this past Sunday, please watch the service on Youtube, because it will lay the foundation for part 2 this Sunday from 2 Chronicles 29:  “The Purpose of God’s House in Our Lives.”  This summer, during the months of June & July we will consider what the house of God can and should be.  I hope you will join us as we continue to seek to be the church God has called us to be, for the good of others and the glory of God.

In Christ,

Jerry

Adopt A Camper

Adopt A Camper

Help Send Students to Camp

We’re excited to offer an opportunity for you to help send a child to camp through our Adopt a Camper Sponsor Program!

You can sponsor a camper in three ways:

  • Full Camper – $225
  • Half Camper – $112.50
  • Quarter Camper – $56.25

When you choose to sponsor, you’ll pick a “kiddo” from our board to support. Before camp, you’ll receive the child's week long prayer requests to begin praying over your camper. During camp, you’ll continue to receive updates and specific prayer needs, and you’ll even get a photo of your camper while they’re at camp!

This is more than just giving—it’s investing in a child’s faith journey.

Stop by the display (in the children's wing)  and Adopt a Camper today!

FCA All Star Baseball Game Needs People to Pray at the Game

FCA All Star Baseball Game Needs People to Pray at the Game

On June 4th, our area FCA will host their annual FCA All Star Games. Brownwood will be the site for baseball and softball this year.

We have been asked if we can have 10 people sign up to pray for athletes and their families on the field during the opening ceremonies. Each athlete family will have a specific person who will pray over them and give them a prayer rock for them to keep.

Prayer partners are asked to be at the Brownwood High School baseball/softball fields at 5:30pm that evening.

If you would be interested in being part of this prayer rock ceremony,  you can sign up through the church office or contact the office for more details.
